Zombies Selling You Games Where You Kill… Zombies? What a Paradox.

Rather lighthearted news today, gamers. “Resident Evil 5″’s release is fast approaching, and critics are saying many positive things about Capcom’s number one zombie franchise. With the game set to hit store shelves next Tuesday, pre-order deals and incentives are popping up all over the place.

However, one Best Buy in Stroudsburg, PA is going all out to have people flock to their store, come next Tuesday.  Residents have been putting together a viral-video campaign on how zombies will arrive in their quaint, little town.  Two videos have been released in a planned five part series, showing a doctor injecting himself with the virus before he sets off for Stroudsburg. It’s looking like zombies will eventually litter the streets on the night of the games release.

There will, apparently, be a haunted house as well, and kids under 17 will, of course, need a parent to buy the game. The events happen on March 13th at midnight, so if you live in the area, go check it out! I wish I could. But I live in cold, frozen tundra, Wisconsin, and I’ve driven 19 hours to Philly before, and I promised myself I’d never do it again. Anyways gamers, that’s it for today. Have a good one. And if your one of the millions of TGH readers out there, and you go to this event, tell us how it was!

i wish i was more in to this game. it’s a shame because i’ve been following the series since RE1. i wasn’t feeling RE4 when i got a chance to play it; perhaps that’s why i’m not hyped for RE5 (even after the demo).

lol i can’t imagine being in that position. the whole, “you need your parents’ permission @ 17″ thing makes me laugh. i was a little younger than 17 when i bought RE1 & 2 on my own.
