Will There Ever Be Too Many Super Hero Games? Marvel Doesn’t Think So.

I used to be a HUGE fan of all things X-men, and I still am. Even though I no longer collect comics (a choice I’ve regretted since I stopped), I’m always paying attention to the latest scuttlebutt on anything related to Marvel. While there are no Marvel games that stand out to me as must-have material, they’re always good for a rental. I love checking them out and geeking out to both comics and video games at the same time. So, I’m somewhat excited to hear news today that more Marvel games are heading our way.

Gazillion Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment announced a partnership to create several online games based on Marvel franchises. While no new titles have been revealed, Gazillion is already working on their own version of  “Marvel Universe” and “Lego Universe.” This relationship will apparently wont be fading away anytime soon, as Gazillion president and CEO, Robert Hutter states the collaboration between the two companies will last a decade.

Hmm, gamers better hope that their games don’t suck then. Ten years is a long time for poor quality games, especially the way companies churn em out these days - I’m looking at you Tony Hawk. Anyways, that’s all for today gamers. Make sure to check out my “Resident Evil 5” review if you missed it. Oh, and one last (non-Marvel) comic book question for all you TGH’ers. Did you guys know that Bruce Wayne is dead? Crazy.

There can never been enough Marvel games … it’s just such a solid universe.

Also - Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (pretty much as well as any of the Marvel Vs. games) are totally worth owning.
