Why Doesn’t Anyone Make A Game About Zombies?!
Destructoid is making noise about another zombie franchise making its way to PSN and XBLA.
According to their sources, THQ and Nihilistic Software, developers of last year’s “Conan,” will let players help out in the fight to save humanity against the ever growing population of the undead. “Zombie Apocalypse” will make its way onto both PSN and XBLA, and will have players saving survivors from those pesky zombies using chainsaws and other environmental hazards.
Destructoid goes on to note that Nihilistic programmer and artist, Mike Parsons, has a resume that very much supports the rumor at hand. Noting that under current projects on his resume lists an “arcade style downloadable zombie game,” as well as a third-person action game, both for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Finally, a game where I can kill people who’ve actually risen from the grave. Alright, seriously, I am getting a little tired of the abundance of zombie killing games out there, but I guess if they continue to sell like hotcakes, companies will churn em out as quickly as they can. Aside from the upcoming uber-title, “Resident Evil 5,” Headstrong Games’ recently released “The House of the Dead: Overkill” should satisfy fans of slaying the undead until “Zombie Apocalypse” is released.
That’s all for today, kids. Keep it real on the streets!
