The Geekiest Thing On The Big Bang Theory Last Night

CBS’ Big Bang Theory is usually a bastion for geek culture on a weekly basis, but last night the show hit a new high (or low depending on how you look at it). Even on an episode where the show’s resident genius dresses up as The Flash and runs around the apartment looking for coffee, the nerdiest part of the episode can be spotted during the conversation below about Bluetooth and womens’ barrettes (you need to watch the whole episode to follow that). Watch the clip and see if you spot it…

If you still need a hint, check out the still, and see if you can finally spot it

OK, enough clues…

Wolowitz’s (played by Simon Helberg, and also co-starred in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog as Moist) shiny, metallic NES controller belt buckle is the most geektastic, Nintendo-inspired accessory I’ve ever spotted outside of a Hot Topic. Don’t get me wrong, I usually spend the entire episode staring at Penny (Kaley Cuoco), but Wolowitz’s crotch happened to catch my eye while she wasn’t in the shot.

this is a great show! And i like the fact that they’re into games, comics and toys and the show doesn’t force it. One of my fav segments was when they were all playing halo and the 2 girls with them jokingly said they were gonna have sex and left the room and about a couple mins later the guys said “did you hear something?” lol. Also that episode when they got the original time machine off of ebay thinking it was just a small model. But it ended up being an actual sized prop and they were all fighting over who gets to sit in it and pretend to go back in time. lol

I’m a pretty big fan of the episode where Sheldon was playing Mario 64 on an emulator on his computer in the hallway, and everyone kept interrupting him. It’s just so well written.

Got something to say?
