This is how the ds should have been made in the first place nintendo is slowly but surely catching up with the other contenders in terms of system designs. Sony is going in the same direction with their new PSP 3000 unfortunately it isn’t nowhere near as good as what the DSI is offering.

Some bad news for people in the USA this new DS will not be available until spring of next year, nintendo feels that this new design is nothing for them to rush out being that the NDS is still selling like hot cakes. But hey thanks to certain gaming stores online we can import this little work of art!

“Sony is going in the same direction with their new PSP 3000 unfortunately it isn’t nowhere near as good as what the DSI is offering.”

-Wow. How can you say that? Why isn’t it nowhere as good? You have a preference, but to say that the it isn’t no were as good is false.

Download and play games directly onto handheld? Been there done that.

Bigger screen? Cannot compare to the original PSP 1000, much less the 3000

Can you play video on the DS yet? no… oh well. Forget UMD’s, play videos off the Memory card. Can’t do that either? oh well. A mini store on the DS? really… how bout the whole internet? Oh yeah you gotta buy an add on.

Radio? Nope. Tivo? Nope. TV? Nope. Skype? Nope.

Slimer? hmmmm…. s’what? it’s still bigger. The DS is a great system. But its features all preference.

Don’t gimme an argument about the games either, because you can play the games on the original DS. You are talking about features not games.

Fyi, the opera web browser comes built into the DSi

Yeah, UnitDagamer covered it well. It comes built in within the DSi and FTR, DS is owning the PSP right now BADLY I might add because of the games and features, nobody cares or gives a crap about a movie or fancy videos. It’s a gaming portable system, not technologal “army knife”

DSi will own bigtime just like the DS is. Nintendo has always owned the portable world and most likely always will. Don’t care what PSP does, they’re not going to beat Nintendo in the portable world. Sorry….

Yeah, I think that\’s the main problem with PSP. They give you too much stuff no one seems to care about except for hackers and modders. More than half those features you mentioned the PSP can do, i bet more than half the people out there don\’t know the system can do. They are on the 3rd generation of the PSP, and most people still don\’t know what all that thing has. Chalk it up to poor marketing I guess. All this DSi cements is the fact that Nintendo has full functioning features in mind for their handhelds so I wouldn\’t be surprised to see their next handheld be blown out with everything. Hell they might make the thing a phone! I wouldn\’t put it past them at this point in the game. Them including 2 cameras on this system makes me believe they are worried about the cell phone market more than any other competitor. That\’s a beast they can\’t sleep on.

Yeah, I think Nintendo will do very well again. Although, I wouldn\’t worry too much about the cell phone gig. Cell phones seemed to have gone up within the past 10 years and now the iphones and ipods are out with all kinds of fancy features, I don\’t think it\’s necessary for Nintendo to implement the cell phone stuff. They already have the internet within it via opera browser etc so I think they\’re going to do very well again once this comes out. Yeah, the modders can\’t do anything now since Sony updated the PSP\’s so all those \

“modders bragging” about the PSP have nothing now. What a few good games and what else? lol

Another thing that a lot of people are taking into consideration, is that Nintendo(unlike Sony) knows when they’re crossing the line in terms of prices. We’ve seen this with the first PSP originally and with PS3 failing now. This is the 3rd DS version made within the past 5 years and STILL is cheaper/more reasonable price/affordable then the original PSP. When will Sony learn?

i was wondering if they were coming out with an adapter for the dsi so you can play gameboy advance games and also my favorite guitar hero for the dsi which you need that adapter to play it.

    Sir-G Reply:

Well rumor has it that Nintendo might release those old games as downloads on the DSI Ware service. Kepp ya fingers crossed although if they do go that route, you’ll have to pay for the game again :|

Got something to say?
