New Tekken 6 “Power is Everything” Trailer
“Tekken 6″ can’t come soon enough. One of the greatest fighting franchises of all time is fast approaching with its sixth iteration, and the game is looking pretty sweet. Jin, Jun, Kuma, and - my personal favorite - Bryan, are all coming back with a vengeance, and it looks like all hell is going to break loose.
In the new trailer (after the jump) it appears as though Jin has all but succumbed to the devil gene, and looks completely badass after the transformation. While a full roster has not been released, there are a few new confirmed characters entering this year’s King of the Iron Fist tournament. You can get a look at new comers Leo, Bob Zafina and Miguel can all be seen in the trailer. Bob seems to be a Namco’s answer to Rufus from “Street Fighter 4.”
The game, which is set to release during fall of this year, will be the first in the franchise to make its way to the Xbox 360. Due to the absence of new “Street Fighter” games in past years “Tekken” has always been in somewhat of a heads up battle with “Soul Calibur” for the title of “best console fighter.” While you may not find gameplay in “Tekken” that rivals that of “Soul Calibur”, the “Tekken” series has always had the coolest theme, feel, and storylines of any fighter around.
Whenever it releases, you can bet that I will be waiting in line to pick up “Tekken 6.” But I swear, Namco Bandai, if there is no Doctor B. in this one there will be trouble… my God will there be trouble. Oh, and is it just me or does Namco Bandai need to hire an editor desperately? What the hell does “Where did you do with Jin Kazama?” mean?
