Check Out “Doubt: The Video Game”

DoubtIf any of you have seen the movie Doubt, starring Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep, I’m hoping you realized what a fantastic showpiece for acting it was. The movie itself won numerous awards and told the story of a preacher being accused of misconduct with one of his alter boys. Both Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep offer unforgettable performances and it was a movie I really enjoyed… but great movies don’t always translate to great game ideas, as this clip from this year’s MTV movie awards demonstrates.

SNL mainstay Andy Samberg busts out his very own personal copy of “Doubt: Flynn’s Revenge” for the Sega Genesis, and let’s just say the game is less than revolutionary. Check it out for yourself in the clip below, and try not to laugh too hard. If you’ve seen the movie you’ll be able to appreciate the clip that much more, but if you haven’t, go check it out.

While the game may not be the best idea in the world, it would certainly fetch a lot of money on the gaming market. If you happen to find a copy of Doubt: Flynn’s Revenge for the Sega Genesis, contact 2.0. As a collector of all things gaming, I’m willing to bet he’d love to have it in his library!

LOL! Joking aside, it’s emulated pretty well. Down to the scratchy Genesis sound!
