Okay there’s too much, and then there’s overkill. Personally, while I’m looking forward to having more news on Killzone 3, perhaps Guerilla Games and Sony should slow down on the over-hype just a little bit.
That was perhaps the silliest title I’ve ever come up. So we, and I’m sure several of you were, curious if someone did something silly like put the lenticular lens on the E3 floor over a camera to see what would happen. Ahh this brings back memories of really experimenting with the gadgets given to me as presents during Christmas time. So, below you’ll find an HD video we recorded while roaming the halls at this year’s E3 for kicks and giggles of Wipeout HD with those fancy 3D glasses infront of the camera.
Mercury Steam has convinced me. I can believe that the next Castlevania, in an attempt to take solid hold on the 3D plain, will deliver something inscrutable. Perhaps we didn’t believe it till we attended E3 2010 because the first four attempts to bring the series to 3D were somewhat lacking (and more so with regards to Curse of Darkness on PS2). Four? If you’re questioning this number, then most likely you didn’t play Castlevania, and Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for Nintendo64, and of the four my personal favorite being Lament of Innocence on PlayStation 2. The title should say it all really … I mean should I even explain anything? Take a look at some of the girls, and a few shots from the floor, at E3 this year. Somewhere in there is a picture of the New Mad Katz Controller. Kudos to our photographer.
Maybe you don’t; it’s that modern warfare first third person shooter being developed by 2K Games that had that interesting trailer with sand crushing small platoon of soliders in what appears to be a deserted city. Well, the new trailer hasn’t changed much but you do get a chance to see some new weapons; a flame thrower to be exact. Sadly no other details are available on the game other than it will be coming out sometime in 2011.
EL Shaddai is a game created by previous members of Clover Studio (Okami), and in particular Sawaki Takeyasu. He currently works with Ignition Games and is releasing El Shaddai sometime this year (no official date). El Shadai is a single player game that focuses on the beginning of time itself during the time of the Grigori. The name alone, for those of you who know (or if you’re not Jewish) is God (at least in the Judiac tongue). From this trailer expect to play role in the relationship founded between, man, Gods, and angels.
After Bayonetta’s release, gamer fan expectations for the newly formed Platinum Games was somewhat mixed. After the XBox 360 Port-to PS3 debacle that surrounded the new development group first game, gamers weren’t expecting much. Enter Vanquish, a high speed action game that reminds of you Lost Planet, Gears of War, and other popular titles all rolled into one package. Check out some quick game play footage from this year’s E3 show.
Looks like the original Rayman creator, Michael Ancel is at it again. I’m sure you’re not too impressed but this one actually looks impressive as it takes a note from it’s original 2D design. The new game will take on that Play Create Share mantra, popularized by other titles like Little Big Planet. Though there were no Rabbids in the trailer, it doesn’t mean that you can’t create your own. The trailer is compelling enough but perhaps we will only be convinced of it’s greatest until we actually play it.
Marvel Vs Capcom 3 looks amazing but rest assured Mad Katz was on hand, or on table, for every screen at this year’s event. Of course the general reaction was positive and you probably expect special versions of their sticks when game launches next year.
Don’t be fooled, that’s not Symphony of the Night, but is actually Harmony of Despair. Perhaps Lords of Shadow might at have stole all the Castlevania thunder today at Konami’s Press Conference but forget that they are releasing Harmony of Despair for XBLA. This game needs to be on PSN and share the love. We passed by the Konami booth and took a quick glimpse at this promising title.
