Wii Fit Gets In On April Fool’s

Today is one of my favorite, all-time worst holidays… April Fools Day. No one is safe… not even the millions of people that own “Wii Fit.” I couldn’t help but chuckle a bit when I booted up the game earlier today (yes, I still use it to great effect) and I saw the balance board avatar greet me with a little joke about how the balance board wasn’t working. I actually enjoy when games do things like this, as it sort of breaks the fourth wall, so to speak, and brings the game a little bit closer to me. I would love to see more games play around with this type of interaction with real world events. Sometimes it’s the little things that go a long way!
