Im sure if our “other” games were crafted after quite possibly the most famous national american sport which had legions of followers even before the games came out, we’d see those numbers as well. I mean there are people out there who just have Madden as their only game! And if Super Bowl Sunday is any indication, Football is more than just a sport to it’s fans it’s a religion!!!

But guess what? How do you explain the Following? Other companies have but out technically superior games and still can’t pry the crowd away. That speaks of something? Even before it was the only game in town, back when even Microsoft had their own football game out, Madden ruled.
Not to mention the fact that the numbers alone scream how many sport game fans there are in particular. This is called the Masses.

What are you talking about? They were ruling with NFL2k out, why do you think they had to drop the price to $20 to even get any attention.

I said it also helps out alot that the fact it’s the only game with official characters, so all the heads that were following nfl 2k, have no choice but to play madden. have any of the other maddens hit 2mill as fast as this one? And you really can’t compare madden’s multiplatform sales to “other” games cuz their really is no other multiplatform game that sells. The big impressive numbers are from games like “GTA” or “HALO” that hit the millions fast and are only on 1 platform, and don’t get me started on the madness that is FINAL FANTSY. Ff 10 sold more than 1.4 million in its first 4 days(just on pre-orders alone) in japan and that’s before it even came states side! That there my friend aint no pittance. now can you imagine if ff was multiplatform?chaos!!
