Miyamoto Talks More Zelda To Nintendo Power

Zelda

Let’s turn our attention to one of Nintendo’s biggest franchises, “Zelda.” In a recent interview for Nintendo Power Shigeru Miyamoto explained that Link’s newest adventure may be more familiar than some of us hope. “I don’t think it’s going to be that radically different,” Miyamoto said when commenting on the game many thought to be taking the franchise in a new direction. Miyamoto’s comment is somewhat surprising as previous “Zelda” installments have been taking some flak for offering the same type of experiences over and over again, but in a slightly different package. Only time will tell what truly comes of the new “Zelda” adventure but even if it’s more of the same, You won’t find me complaining.

The game looks very similar to “Wind Waker,” and seemingly switches the boating mechanics seen in the GameCube game for train-based strategy here. The game will be available for the DS (as well as the DSi), however, no release date has been set. [Continue Reading]
