Want To See The Number One Contender For A Ninja Gaiden Movie?

ninjathumbWhen was the last time you saw a good ninja movie? If it’s been a long time, but I think that might change come November 25th! After watching the trailer for Ninja Assassin, I couldn’t help but think of Tecmo’s classic “Ninja Gaiden.” This movie reminds me of what a “Ninja Gaiden” flick could be (minus the demons of course). I understand it’s still too early to get excited, but this trailer does a damn fine job of showing why we all love ninjas. And my man is pretty nasty with that chain-sickle. I won’t get into details so just head over to the official site here for the low down on the story and take a look at the trailer below. Watch the trailer and try telling me you couldn’t help but think of Ryu Hybasu from the recent “Ninja Gaiden” games! Tecmo… I hope you’re watching this if you ever plan to make a “Ninja Gaiden” movie. Hire these guys and we will forgive you that “Dead Or Alive” movie! [Continue Reading]

Yes, the game looks great but with the version on the E3 floor, the loading during the stages was annoying. Yes, the game still plays solid with a barrage of combos and ninjitsu techniques.

Tecmo Bowl DS

The first and foremost name in arcade football gaming—well, circa 1988, at any rate—is coming back this fall. Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff will be coming to the Nintendo DS sometime in Q4 2008 with all the usual fast-paced pigskinnery. According to the press release, the game will feature customizable teams and playbooks, stylus control, wi-fi and wireless multi-player, and something called super abilities that allow you to “take over a game” with “over-the-top player.”

“We are extremely excited to bring back everyone’s favorite football game to the Nintendo DS,” said Ryan Gilbo, executive producer, Tecmo, Inc. “KICKOFF is packed with everything that fans wanted to see in this revival. No other football game will ever compare to TECMO BOWL as this is the game that started it all.”
