Kratos Brings Chaos In God of War III Launch Trailer

In case you missed it, yesterday was the big day, and “God of War III” finally hit store shelves. Kratos will finally be able to put an end to his long journey, and this trailer is a hell of a way to get amped about everything that the game has to offer. I’d tell you that you should check it out, but you’re probably too busy playing the game to be reading this site, which I completely and totally understand.

God Of War III Midnight Release – Bronx, NY

IMG_0738

Should I have been surprised at the long ass line that formed outside of my local Gamestop here in the Bronx?  Probably not – “God of War III” received so much critical acclaim over the past week and a half, most Gamestop’s automatically opted in taking part in a midnight release for the third and final chapter covering the saga of Kratos.  As a matter of fact, I had seen lines forming from 10:00 PM down in Manhattan long before I made it back to the Bronx tonight.

Mafia II Trailer Puts You In The Shoes Of A Wise Guy

2K has a pretty solid release schedule for this year, and one of the highlights is definitely “Mafia II”. Other games have tried to put you in the roll of a gangster climbing up the ranks of organized crime, but “Mafia II” is looking to do it bigger and better than anything that’s come before it. Just check out the trailer above to see what you can expect when the game comes out later this year.

Heavy Rain Review: The Hunt Is On

Lo and behold 2010 is starting with a bang for gamers. Each year we often consider being the best in gaming, but 2010 is looking to raise the bar even further. We’ve just finished up month two (already) and we’ve already gotten at least three titles that would be worthy for game of the year. I’m talking about you; “Mass Effect 2,” “Bioshock 2″ and now “Heavy Rain.”

Quantic Dream is a development house looking to build on its interactive formula developed with last gen’s “Indigo Prophecy” and brings us the well-hyped “Heavy Rain” exclusive to the PS3. Games are growing up kids. This isn’t your regular video game affair. [Continue Reading]

Dante’s Inferno Review: To Hell And Back

Dante's Inferno

Hell is a place that many different mediums have explored; movies, television, and comic books frequently venture to Catholicism’s home of eternal damnation. However, it’s a rich setting that hasn’t really been fully explored in video games, until now. Based on the classic poem by Dante Alighieri, “Dante’s Inferno” (the game) from EA, gives gamers the opportunity to step into the role of Dante as he journeys to the deepest sanctum of Lucifer to save his beloved. To steal a line from the marketing material, gamers can finally go to Hell. [Continue Reading]

New Moto GP 09/10 Trailer And Release Date Speed By

Capcom’s revealed a release date for their latest addition to the “MotoGP” franchise. “MotoGP 09/10″ will hit store shelves on March 16 as “the most definitive game of the MotoGP series yet.” It may not be every gamers’ cup of tea, but fans of moto racing should be happy with what “09/10″ is packing – and on two wheels, none-the-less. And if you absolutely can’t wait, there’s a demo headed to XBLA and PSN before release so you can start revving your engines a little early.

3D Dot Game Heroes Hopes To Help With Your Inadequacy Problems

Oohh Atlus, you always know how to make us giggle inappropriately. Check out the latest “trailer” for the blocky-looking upcoming PS3 title “3D Dot Game Heroes” and see if it questions your manliness. At the very least it should give you a look at some solid gameplay, and the upgrade potential that your sword holds. Who cares if it looks like “Zelda,” it still looks amazing.

BioShock 2 Launch Trailer May Cause Hydrophobia

Well damn. If you weren’t excited about “BioShock 2″ yet, watch this trailer and you will be. AND … if the massive battle that goes down there doesn’t hook you, check out Multiplayer’s guide to all the plasmids in the game. Yes, it’s a sequel to an amazing game, and has lofty expectations that it may or may not live up to, but come on, going back to Rapture is going to be amazing.

Bayonetta Review: Which Witch Is Which?

Bayonetta

The first time I saw “Bayonetta” was at last year’s E3, and, in all honesty, I wasn’t really impressed. I’ve never been a fan of the “Devil May Cry” games, and a game that played like those, starring a witch with magical hair just didn’t seem very appealing. After a short demo of the game behind closed doors, I walked away from Sega’s booth more interested in “Aliens vs. Predator” than some game from a bunch of guys that made that other game. But something happened over the last few months, as the hype began to build around the game, I started to realize that “Bayonetta” might actually be something I could enjoy, and, as the release date came closer, I was actually really looking forward to it. Low and behold, after a run through of the final product, it turns out that first impressions aren’t always right. [Continue Reading]

Backbreaker Trailer Promises Hope For People Who Don’t Like Football

Backbreaker

I think it’s pretty clear that I’m not a football games kind of guy. After the SNES they just got too complex for me, and, while I have a pretty good idea of how many people out there love “Madden,” I’m just not one of them… unless it’s “Madden ‘96″ you’re talking about. I say, give me “Tecmo Bowl” any day over what the current console generation offers, there’s just too damn much going on.

But, in the last year, there has been one football game that has gotten my attention, and very valuable playtime – NaturalMotion developed “Backbreaker.” [Continue Reading]
