Faceez Review: Careful, Or You’ll Get Stuck Like That

When the original DS was released, included on board the system memory was a unique little program called Pictochat. Most DS users should be at least familiar with the program since you see it as an option every time you load up the system. When the DSi was released it followed suit and came packaged with a handful of different pack-in programs as well, one of which allowed you to edit pictures taken with the DSi’s camera. While it was a fairly robust little application, it was still limited in some capacities, and, overall, it just lacked a personality. Well, now Neko entertainment has taken some of the functionality of the photo editing software, improved on it, and released “Faceez” to the masses to tweak all their favorite pictures.

E3 ‘09: Nyko Peripherals Preview

E3 09
NykoSir-G says it best, “E3 is all about new games, but it’s also about new peripherals,” and Nyko is always at the front of that pack. Check out some of the interesting additions to their lineup that they were showing off at their booth at this year’s E3, including the Pistol Grip and Type Pad Pro for the Wii, the Charge Grip Flex for the PSP, and the Zoom Case for the DSi. Sure, those might not be the best names, but that doesn’t mean the products aren’t pretty interesting. [Continue Reading]

Possible DSi Price Range and Release Date for North America

New information from IGN today suggests that Nintendo’s second iteration of its handheld juggernaut, the Nintendo DSi, will release “most likely on April 4th” at a $179.99 price tag in North America.

This information comes courtesy of a report from IGN that cites sources close to Nintendo. If this report proves to be true, it would mean that a North American DSi will retail for roughly $30 dollars cheaper then the Japanese DSi which goes for $211 (18,900 yen). The DSi, which released last November in Japan, had already reached the million mark by the end of last year. [Continue Reading]

This is how the ds should have been made in the first place nintendo is slowly but surely catching up with the other contenders in terms of system designs. Sony is going in the same direction with their new PSP 3000 unfortunately it isn’t nowhere near as good as what the DSI is offering.

Some bad news for people in the USA this new DS will not be available until spring of next year, nintendo feels that this new design is nothing for them to rush out being that the NDS is still selling like hot cakes. But hey thanks to certain gaming stores online we can import this little work of art!
