Split/Second’s Gameplay Trailer Crashes … Then Explodes

What would happen if “Burnout” and “Stuntman” had a love child? Why, it would produce a racing game from Disney, of course. The trailer for “Split/Second” seems like it is the perfect blend of racing and action that should be able to do what “Stuntman” wasn’t able to accomplish – create something worth playing. Who would have thought that Disney would be behind something that looks as good as this? It’s a good thing that Blackrock Studio is behind it – that’s the same group that brought us “Pure,” which makes me feel a little bit better. “Split/Second” looks like a worthy follow up. Must See: Toy Story 3 Movie Trailer

The Toys are back! Next summer Disney and Pixar will release the 3rd installment to one of their most popular cg films to date, Toy Story 3. The first film was Pixar’s 1st full length animated movie partnered with Disney. Toy Story became an instant classic and put Pixar on the map as one of if not, the best cg animated studio out to date. So naturally a sequel was made (which was also tight) and proved that they could create a another classic. With Toy Story 3, Pixar looks to continue their winning streak in the Toy Story franchise. Must See: Tron Leagacy Teaser Trailer

Ladies and Gents, Tron is back! And oooh how sweet it is. At this years San Diego Comic Con, Disney unveiled the first teaser trailer for thier upcoming 2010 release of Tron Leagacy. Not much has been released plot wise so far, but from the trailer you can see the return of a familiar face. 2010 can’t come fast enough for what quite possibly could become the ultimate videogame movie!

Jake Gyllenhaal is the Prince of Persia!

It’s official…the prince has been found and he aint’ no persian! Jake Gyllenhaal of Donnie Darko, Broke Back mountain fame has been cast in the lead role in the new Prince of Persia: Sands of time movie dropping next summer. Directed by the king of summer blockbuster explosions Jerry Bruckheimer and  Disney, PoP:sands of time will tell the story of prince Dastan as he battles an evil vizher from controlling the sands of time (which allows the user to travel back in time..duh!). The plot will be loosely based off the game of the same name, so you can expect to see creatures, signature traps, magic and some cool special fx’s. I can say that im pretty amped to see how this turns out especially being a fan of ol’ Bruckheimers past spectacles. And for those who worry, series creator Jordan Mechner has been heavly envolved in the script. So im sure he won’t let this movie end up utter crap…right? Hopefuly this will be a good videogame to movie translation and finally do justice to videogame movie in general. One thing’s for sure, i know Bruckheimer will take us on a wild ride thru persia!
