At the recent “NBA 2K10″ launch party here in NYC, Grey managed to grab some interviews with some of the NBA’s biggest names, but he also managed to grab some time with the game’s gameplay producer, Rob Jones. Check out the video and find out what you might expect to get when you throw down against your friends in “NBA 2K10″ when it comes out later this week.

NHL 2K10 Review: Hitting The Ice, Or Is The Ice Hitting You?

NHL 2K10

As a Canadian, it is our patriotic duty to spend a few hours a week watching grown men with wooden sticks glide through harsh terrain and smash their bodies into plexiglass. EA has provided fellow Canadians like myself with the NHL series for almost 20 years. However, another company known for their sports video games, 2K Sports, decided to challenge EA with their NHL licensed series, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of their “NHL 2K” franchise. Despite the decade long rivalry between the two companies, does “NHL 2K10″ put up a fight or does it just turtle? [Continue Reading]

Derrick Rose Loves Candy And 2K Sports’ NBA 2K10: Draft Combine

Derrick Rose and 2K Sports' NBA 2K10 Draft Combine

2K Sports is putting a little different spin on their NBA 2K series this year by offering gamers a chance to create a character, and bring them up through the NBA Draft Combine. You get to go from a no-name kid in the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network downloadable title, and then get them in the NBA right by carrying them over when 2K drops “NBA 2K10″ this October.

Our own resident sports fan Grey recently had a chance to sit down and talk with “NBA 2K Draft Combine” poster-boy, and Chicago Bull, Derrick Rose, about the game, Kobe, the Xbox 360 vs. the PS3, and candy? Yeah, Grey actually asked the 2008 Rookie of the Year about how much candy he eats. Check it out below.

The BIGS 2

“The BIGS 2″ came out this past Tuesday, and the demo has been available to most gamers for about two weeks now. Sports games are not regularly my forte, but something strange happened to me after I downloaded the demo onto my PS3; I fell in love with “The BIGS 2.” I have never had so much fun and gotten more mileage out of one 562 MB file as I have with this arcadey baseball romp. Well, except for that one time I downloaded that “Boob Slapper” game to my pc… but that’s another story. [Continue Reading]

Prince Fielder On Cover of The BIGS 2 – Brew Crew Still Sucks

Alright, I had to cover this story since I live in Wisconsin and I’m a glutton for punishment (read: Brewers fan). Price Fielder, 1st baseman, and slugger extraordinaire for the Milwaukee Brewers is going to grace the cover of 2K Sports’ “The BIGS 2.” While I’m not that biggest fan of baseball games, or most sports games for that matter, I did play “The BIGS,” and it was a hell of a lot of fun. Since my boy is on the cover this year, I may have to go out and pick up a copy. Also the Brewers probably won’t be as good in next season’s baseball games as they are in this year’s. Review: NBA Live 09 & NBA2k9- Fight!

Hi Ho the Ballers are back! Baseball is winding down, and we’ve all been busting heads on the gridiron in Madden and now comes the bright lights of the NBA. The two heavyweights of the division are back with their 09’ editions and we are about to hit you with the down low on NBA Live 09’ featuring Tony Parker and NBA2k9 anchored by the now “certified” Kevin Garnett.

First I have to let you know right now. This isn’t really a fair fight. NBA2k9 is the better game… PERIOD.
