ELITE

It’s official - XBOX360 … now elite. You will soon be able to purchase your XBOX with high definition output [didn't that come with it already or is component not HD ... hmmm?] but unlike another black box will come with its own HDMI cables, and like another black box sport one wireless controller, blu-ray … errr HD DVD drive and those HD options like pulse code modulation, 1080p, and TrueHD …. at an attempt to sell HD DVDs errr More XBoXeses at $479. I guess its working for Sony so it should work for Big MS in the blu-ray… I mean sales department.ÂÂ Fanboys rejoice.

there’s a correction, the elite has the same components as the original xbox360. no built in hi-def dvd player. The only new things are bigger harddrive and hdmi cables/output. Oh and the 120 gig hard drive will also be sold seperate for the lovely price of $180.00

The Semantics of what is True HD is, rears it’s head. The simple answer is that not all HDTV sets can display 1080p through Component Cables. It all has to do with the standards and piracy protection of HD. Now our lil Black Box is back with HDMI which is the accepted way to push an HD signal (Higher Protection) and a big ass Hard Drive.
I love the haters man, they are like, “Whoa why is it $479?”
Well um you see cuz, it “INCLUDES a 120 gig Hard Drive, and a HDMI cable.” Which at $20 less than Sony’s “Core” model it still has more value than a 20 gig Hard Drive and NO, I repeat, ZERO high fidelty cables. Come on Sony you couldn’t give the consumers even S-Video? No Component, just your standard RCA jacks that you used to use to plug in your NES.
But i digress, Sony had numerous fans purchase a cable for their PS3 just to see it as a proper upgrade from their PS2’s!
