Tomb Raider: Underworld Video Interview
October 20, 2008
Sir-G coming at ya with another developer interview. This time I am taking a look at the latest entry into the Tomb Raider franchise. I been with the series since it first dropped on PS1 and I admit it hurt a bit seeing the series take a fall after the 3rd game. But with her return to almost former glory with Tomb Raider Legends, the guys over at Crystal Dynamics look to improve upon what they accomplished with Legends. TR: Underworld is looking pretty tight on the visual and gameplay side of things. Take a look at this latest video and I think you’ll agree that old Lara is on a strong comeback to the gaming scene!
Left 4 Dead “The Apartments” Level Video Hands-On
October 17, 2008
It’s about that time again folks to get excited about blasting some zombies. Valve’s latest offering into the co-op play arena is something I been waiting for for a very long time. Since the Dawn of the Dead remake set the standard for zombies a few years ago, few games have captured the feeling the film had left of movie goers. Well that is all about to change with the cleverly named Left 4 Dead. To sum it all up, if you seen Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead, this game can pretty much be the licensed movie game version. And you know what, it wouldn’t suck at all! I don’t need to write a long write-up on the game as you can see what I am talking about from just watching the video (which is from one of the earlier levels in the game). So sit back, relax and enjoy the carnage!
Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X Hands-On Video Preview
September 16, 2008
Tom Clancy’s first introduction into the flight-sim crowd H.A.W.X, is looking pretty decent. I got some hands on time with the title and came away pretty impressed with the way it all handled. And I wasn’t the only one(see 2.0’s impressions here). H.A.W.X look to offer something pretty rewarding to both hardcore and occasional fans of the genre. And even if you have never played a flight game before, this title does a good job of easing you into the game. Check out the video preview and see if H.A.W.X has enough maneuvers to outwit any doubt you may have towards the game!
New Hands On Video Preview Of Shaun White Snowboarding Wii
September 11, 2008
Sir-G back again with some fresh hands on or should I say foot on gameplay impressions of Shaun White Snowboarding for the Wii(you can view a preview of the Xbox 360 version here). Ubisoft was wise to implement the b-board into this version of the game as from my hands on with the game, I think it’s safe to say the game was fun as hell to play and really controlled well. As with any new form of control, there is a learning curve, but you’ll see in the video I picked it up pretty quick. The game is really that easy to get into(just try to keep your balance and not fall over). All in all, Shaun White looks to make a good entry into the books of snowboarding games as well as games that make good use of the b-board. Take a look at our preview and post your thoughts!
Video of Wheelman’s First Mission, Airjacking, And Lots Of Vin
September 9, 2008
Recently Midway was in NYC showcasing some of their titles, and Vin Diesel’s “Wheelman” was the first game you saw when you walked in the door. It’s a wild cross between “Pursuit Force” and “Burnout” - in a good way. Check out the first mission of the game below, as well as some of the crazy stunts you can do while driving and, see if they’ve successfully captured Hollywood-style car chases in their new game.
For more, you can check out my hands on impressions of “Wheelman.”

Blitz: The League II’s Bone Crushing Preview Video
September 5, 2008
What a better way to start off the weekend than with some bone crunching brutality courtesy of Midway’s upcoming gridiron bruiser, “Blitz: The League II.” It’s been quite some time since a sports game has been rated M for Mature (if one ever has), and you can see just why “Blitz” deserves the honor. Broken bones, illegal hits, supplements, ya know… all the good stuff. Basically if “Madden” is too “classy” for it, it’s in “Blitz.” Sit back and enjoy a look at arcade style football at its bloodiest.
Tiger Woods Pga Tour 09 Nyc Launch Party
September 3, 2008
Last week the TrueGameHeadz crew attended the Tiger Woods PGA tour launch party in NYC. The event was cool and alittle disappointing. I say that because the only time you got to see the man himself, Tiger was when he walked in on the green carpet. And like wise for the others stars that came through, but that wasn’t a big deal. It would’ve been nice if Tiger stepped outta his super private area and waved to the masses or at least said something to the likes of “Thanks for coming by, or check out my game and hope you enjoy it!” cause you know it was for him and his game. Plus the music was ridiculously loud and some point. People thought their ears were gonna burst! Anyways peep the video of the event below…and did Anthony Anderson say “F@#K Tiger Woods????!!
TrueGameHeadz: Afro Samurai the game video preview
August 12, 2008
Here’s a little something something for all you folks out there who can’t get enough of the Afro sportn’ samurai himself. I had the pleasure of attending Namco Bandai’s 2008 press tour here in NY. I was able to get some hands on time with the game and I have to say things are looking up for this title as the controls feel on point and the look and feel of the series has been translated well. And the music doesn’t disappoint either! Take a look at the video preview as I think you fans of the show will be very pleased with what ya see! AYO AFROOOOOOO!
And if you haven’t seen already, the video below is a good indication of how much the TGH crew are fans of the series. Enjoy!

Kojima/ MGS 4 signing @ Uniqlo NYC
June 18, 2008
True game head DW was on hand for the MGS 4 Kojima signing at the clothing store, Uniqlo in NYC. The fans were out in droves and excited to get a glimpse and signature of the legendary game producer. Also at the event were the limited edition MGS 4/ Uniqlo collabo tees which flew off the shelves. Unfortunately Kojima wasn’t signing those ( proab’ to avoid the ridiculous ebay prices they would go for). Another plus for the event was the beautiful actress Yumi Kikuchi (Raging Raven) also giving signatures to eager fans. The event was great and it was nice to meet the man himself! Props to Konami, New York Tokyo and Uniqlo for this hot event! Peep the video below.
