Metal Gear Solid The Animated Movie… With Bunnies?

Wow! On one hand it’s kinda cruel to see animals portrayed like this, but on the other it’s all kinds of awesome! This upcoming flick has nothing to do with “Metal Gear Solid,” but is based off of a popular manga series titled “Cat Shit One”. The overall premise of the series takes place during events based on real life conflicts like the Vietnam War and the War in Iraq during the early 90’s.

I’ve never heard of the series until now, but after seeing this trailer, I think I am a fan! It’s definitely a breath of fresh air from all the cute cg animal movies that flood our market. I just hope it gets a proper distribution over here! The movie is set to release at the end of this year early next year at the latest. You can find out more about the movie and series at the links below.

Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers New Footage!

Finally some new footage of the long thought canceled Square Enix project, Final Fantasy: The Crystal Bearers. Now we get a chance to see some of the game play mechanics which look to incorporate a system that allows you to grab any enemy and fling them about as you please. It’s like that classic game Wild 9(underrated title) from the PS1 era. It’s good to see some Square Enix support with this and the upcoming Dragon Quest X. And is also a good thing to see they are trying different gameplay as opposed to their standard rpg stuff which this generation, seems to be going the way of the dodo. Anyway, Check it out!

Tomb Raider: Underworld Video Interview

Sir-G coming at ya with another developer interview. This time I am taking a look at the latest entry into the Tomb Raider franchise. I been with the series since it first dropped on PS1 and I admit it hurt a bit seeing the series take a fall after the 3rd game. But with her return to almost former glory with Tomb Raider Legends, the guys over at Crystal Dynamics look to improve upon what they accomplished with Legends. TR: Underworld is looking pretty tight on the visual and gameplay side of things. Take a look at this latest video and I think you’ll agree that old Lara is on a strong comeback to the gaming scene!

Left 4 Dead “The Apartments” Level Video Hands-On

It’s about that time again folks to get excited about blasting some zombies. Valve’s latest offering into the co-op play arena is something I been waiting for for a very long time. Since the Dawn of the Dead remake set the standard for zombies a few years ago, few games have captured the feeling the film had left of movie goers. Well that is all about to change  with the cleverly named Left 4 Dead. To sum it all  up, if you seen Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead, this game can pretty much be the licensed movie game version. And you know what, it wouldn’t suck at all! I don’t need to write a long write-up on the game as you can see what I am talking about from just watching the video (which is from one of the earlier levels in the game). So sit back, relax and enjoy the carnage!

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X Hands-On Video Preview

Tom Clancy’s first introduction into the flight-sim crowd H.A.W.X, is looking pretty decent. I got some hands on time with the title and came away pretty impressed with the way it all handled. And I wasn’t the only one(see 2.0’s impressions here). H.A.W.X look to offer something pretty rewarding to both hardcore and occasional fans of the genre. And even if you have never played a flight game before, this title does a good job of easing you into the game. Check out the video preview and see if H.A.W.X has enough maneuvers to outwit any doubt you may have towards the game!

New Hands On Video Preview Of Shaun White Snowboarding Wii

Sir-G back again with some fresh hands on or should I say foot on gameplay impressions of Shaun White Snowboarding for the Wii(you can view a preview of the Xbox 360 version here). Ubisoft was wise to implement the b-board into this version of the game as from my hands on with the game, I think it’s safe to say the game was fun as hell to play and really controlled well. As with any new form of control, there is a learning curve, but you’ll see in the video I picked it up pretty quick. The game is really that easy to get into(just try to keep your balance and not fall over). All in all, Shaun White looks to make a good entry into the books of snowboarding games as well as games that make good use of the b-board. Take a look at our preview and post your thoughts!
