A Gamer’s Thoughts: Street Fighter IV’s Music

Whut up folks! Got some more “Street Fighter I”V talk. This time around it’s about the music selection within the game and the odd choice Capcom made with one of the tracks. Do you like the soundtrack, dislike it? Drop a comment below about your thoughts.

totally agree the sound track has you humming a long for all the wrong reasons. lol Indeed, the lack of a hip hop feel perhaps didn’t sit well all of game-dom but if it was always designed that way, perhaps it would have been criticized for being too … genre specific.

love it. I think a nice variety of styles on music, that are done in a more dramatic way, lists a soundtrack as durable and long-lasting. There are so many forgettable game soundtracks (and I mean dramatic underscore, not songs) today with big run of the mill Hollywood type orchestras…the approach of the music for Street Fighter was cool and more focused on substance rather than a fashionable sound.
