That’s right you heard it square-enix the rpg god’s are dissing Microsoft’s Xbox 360 by shifting all attention towards the Wii, PS3 and DS. O well who needs rpg’s when you have a shit load of fps games….. right?

Rise of Man Boasts 60 MP Online, 8 Man Co-oP

Okay, I got the third degree from my 360 brethren many a time about co-op this and co-op that. Yea, RB6 had it, but that game was beyond lackluster for me on Ps3. Well, looks like the girls and boys over in ps3 world will get 60 player online battles [an they said it couldn't get bigger] and 8 man CoOP [four per PS3]. See the back of the box art for more - Damn. The only other thing that I can think is, is that this is … fake. But it would be nice to be wrong wrong wrong.

For all you light gun fans out there who was displeased with the Wii zapper, feast your eye’s on this light gunners delight. The NYKO perfect shot light gun for the Wii gives the Wii zapper a run for its money. It’s more comfortable than the Wii zapper and it’s supports a spring trigger for more faster shooting how sweet is that. NYKO is one of the top 3rd party peripherals designers for the Nintendo Wii so keep an eye out for this new accessory and even though you may already own a zapper this is still worthy a purchase and trust me you may put this item to use more that the zapper itself.

So we’ve all heard by now the big news about Master Yoda and Anakin Skywalker a.k.a Lord or Darth Vader which ever sounds more devastating to you, appearing in the new upcoming soul calibur game. Here is the video proof that it’s all true so sit back and watch yoda stop Astaroth raging axe with the force and Vader clash lightsaber with katana against Mitsurugi.

The only thing more amazing looking [and sounding] that XBLA’s Omega 5 is the announcement from Namco that Darth Vader will be joining the cast in Soul Calibur IV. Okay okay. I know what you’re thinking - “this doesn’t make sense but yes I think its phat and Fighting games don’t have a solid story to begin with.” Some of us think its a despearate push but really Ain’t This Cool News? Namco must have moved some serious CREAM to get rights to put this bad boy in there classic brawler. Yoda snuck into Vader’s time dimension thingamagiggy and made it to. “Brave I am.” The only other problem is the light saber itself. Since SC 2 and 3, multiple weapons became available so perhaps each character will get the Lightsaber version. Cool. For the Star Wars geekz though, they would know, like myself, that there is an item that Lightsabers can’t cut - obsidian.
RUMOR: Leon S. Kennedy in Smash Bros. Brawl…

As if the inclusion of Sonic and Solid Snake in Smash Bros. Brawl wasn’t big enough according to the IMDB the actor who voiced Leon S Kennedy in Resident Evil 4 is a credit with reprising his role as the infamous Racoon city cop in the soon to be released Smash Bros. Brawl. Below I attached a screen grab of the page as soon enough, Nintendo will request that he take it down. Again this has note been confirmed by Nintendo, but if it is true, Smash Bros Brawl is going down as one of the best fighters in history! Smash Bros. is about to bring the noise come February!

Wii Fit = Wii $$$$$$$$$$

In Nintendo’s continued onslaught to win(in which the are succeeding) over the casual gamer, has hit a new millstone with Wii Fit. The $70(us) balance board and game bundle has sold an impressive 1 million units in Japan in a time frame of a month and 6 days. That says a lot for a gaming peripheral that isn’t Guitar Hero or Rockband! The unit is an official success even before it hit the states here. Most people doubted the board when it was unveiled for the first time, but with Nintendo’s current track record this gen with nothing, but success with the Wii and DS it’s safe to say they know what their doing. One thing is for sure, this will be a hit here in the states as America struggles with obesity in it’s youth. Now you have a videogame that actually encourages health as well as keep you in shape. If you thought the Wii was getting enough publicity amongst the casual media, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Quick someone make an “it prints money” gif for Wii Fit!!!!!

Gaming - Week 1 2008

The best way to start a new year is to flood the market and gaming scene with a plethora of rumors, demands, ideas, and Lord knows what else to confuse everyone even more. Gamers and owners of the PS3 are not confused though as they are thoroughly in belief that this year will be the year of the PS3. While another Rumor is that MS has a big surprise at CES 2008 [another system perhaps to answer all those returns consoles, melting motherboards, RRODs and law suits]. Still, the first week in the year hit hard with tons of speculations but all good for all of Gamedom. No 360 is not MGS4, No 360 is not getting an HDDVD version. Even MS denounced that one.
God of War III in good hands

Well it was bound to happen I mean what game out there in this world of sequels honestly has 3 consecutive hits back to back to back. We all have seen what happened when lead developers who create masterpieces step down to work on other projects, the result are always never too good. Cory Barlog, lead developer for God of War steps down and leaves poor Kartos 3rd finale in the hands of Sony’s Santa Monica team. According to Barlog he believes that the Santa Monica team is very talented and being that he already laid out the bread crumbs all they have to do is follow. I can’t help but wonder why leave before the game is even developed, just what exactly went down over there at Sony that would have him do such a thing. I’d figure you have the power of the PS3 now at your side and the 3rd installment of a blockbuster game in which countless fans are waiting for to see how kratos ripping will play and look on a next gen console, stepping down wouldn’t have even been a thought in your head.
Sign I have a bad feeling already that this game will offer nothing new besides ps3 graphics. Being that the story and design is already laid out for the team that leaves little to no room for changes that may occur during development that can actually work out good for the game. O well only time will tell as we wait with anticipation for more info on the development of the game.

Wii download to DS games only Demos what gives nintendo?

What a way to kick of the new year! Nintendo corrects what could have been possibility just one of the many wonders of the Wii. According to a Business Day article they stated that, “Complete games… will be able to be downloaded into the Wii using its broadband connection, and then transferred wireslessly to the DS”. Well Nintendo fans Nintendo has officially corrected that statement and your not going to like the outcome. It’s goes a little some like this “in the future, the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game.” These demos, like all content that can be beamed to DS currently, will be erased once the hand held is switched off. How fun is that sure it’s understandable for consoles such as xbox 360 and ps3 to have demos being that they games run you a pretty penny but a portable with games priced no higher than $34.99 really are demos necessary.

Pure Pulse - Part VI Wipeout Pulse Review

First off, this is the final post in the Pure Pulse series. You can check out the other posts via the links below. In a nut shell, Wipeout Pulse is everything we got from Wipeout Pure and some. The some in question is comprised of Online [Infrastructure] play, a new single player campaign that mixes everything we know about Wipeout into a palatable sufle of speed and bolder tracks. Yours truly was in no rush to review this title as I wanted to dissect my import copy thoroughly. First I’ll go over the basics and then go over the new stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen here is the resident evil movie we’ve all been waiting for. Forget about the past 3 live action let downs that carried the name resident evil which starred a character from the series (Alice) who some how became the genres leading hero, who in truth was the last boss from the code veronica series. Hmmmm how can you screw something like that up, anyways Resident Evil Degeneration the all new CGI movie looks to the redeem the name for the series in it’s theatrical form. It appears to star Leon S. Kenndey from the smash killer hit resident evil 4 and Claire Redfield who apparently still hasn’t found her big bro Chris. Check out this hot trailer and mark that calendar because this is going to be one movie you RE fans won’t want to miss. Just remember the what a certain FFAC CGI movie did for it’s fans….
